Luxury Tasmanian Accommodation

The Lodge was originally built in the 1930’s, in an Art Deco style. The Lodge housed the cream of Tasmania’s pioneering hydro electricity engineers and architects. The guest book featured the powerful and famous and if you have the time to listen, has hosted more than its share of the risqué!

Comprehensively refurbished in 2006, The Lodge retains the original 1930’s craftsmanship and now incorporates contemporary Tasmanian design and the latest in modern communication. Deluxe guest rooms and suites have been sympathetically built within the outer building shell and now incorporate the very finest of Tasmanian accommodation and small luxury hotel living.

Luxurious guest rooms all have original Tasmanian art, internet, flat screen TV, dvds and ipod connections. Indulgent bathrooms have huge baths and heated floors, luxury toiletries and those sensually soft cotton bathrobes.

Some rooms have fires and private balconies. Ponder the view, soak in our cliff top hot tub, wander through the private garden or make new friends with the hairy yet gentle Highland cattle who constantly help us to manage the parkland around The Tarraleah Lodge.
